If your spam filter is set to Quarantine, then mail classified as spam does not stay in your inbox for you to download; it is sent to a separate folder called Junk.

You must clean out this folder on a regular basis, otherwise it will eventually fill your mailbox, and new mail will not be delivered.

If you don't want to check your spam folder regularly to see if anything has been misidentified as spam, you can change it so the spam is deleted right away. That way it doesn't fill up your box.

To check your spam folder, you can either use your own e-mail software (if you set it up to use IMAP instead of POP3), or our webmail system.

Webmail is accessed here: http://webmail.netwiz.net/

After you login, click "View my Inbox" to go to your Inbox. On the left menu you can click Junk to view your spam.

Rescuing Your E-mail

When viewing your Junk folder, you may find a message you wish to keep. Place a check mark in the box next to the message. At the top, a drop-down box says Move To. Change this to INBOX.

This will copy the message to the inbox and also add the sender's address to your Allow list.

Deleting Your Spam

You may want to click "Subject" at the top of the screen to sort your spam according to the subject. This may make it easier to look through.

Check the box next to the messages you want to delete (or click the "select all" box at the top of the columnto select the entire page). Then click "Delete."

Note: the messages will either be moved to the Trash folder, or permanently deleted. This depends on the setting in your Preferences.

Deleting All Your Spam At Once

It may be that you want to Quarantine your spam, but not bother looking through it all. That way, if someone lets you know they sent an e-mail you didn't receive, you can check there for it, but otherwise, you can just empty out your entire spam folder on a regular basis.

To do this, just right-click on Junk, and then left-click "Empty Folder."

Note: the messages will either be moved to the Trash folder, or permanently deleted. This depends on the setting in your Preferences.
